CHEMICAL PEELS & MORE

SKINCARE HAS COME A LONG WAY. YOU HAVE SO MANY NON-INVASIVE, LOW MAINTENANCE OPTIONS TO HELP MEET YOUR GOALS.

Whether you're hoping to renew your youthful glow or keep your armpits (and clothes) dryer, we have options for you. Read below to see some of our additional skincare services.

CHEMICAL PEELS

Chemical Peels are a great part of any skin care maintenance routine to help rejuvenate your skin. Chemical peels are used to treat a variety of skin conditions including:

     •  Hyperpigmentation from melasma, sun damage,           freckles, acne

     •  Acne scars

     •  Rough, scaly texture

     •  Fine lines and wrinkles

Chemical peels are resurfacing treatment that should be tailored to each patient’s concerns.  In performing chemical peels, providers apply alpha hydroxy acids (AHA), beta hydroxy acids (BHA) and trichloroacetic acid (TCA) to the skin with the intent of removing outer layers of the skin, though how many layers depends on the intensity of the peel. So there can be some down time.  Lighter peels may result in mild irritation, redness and flaking.  Deeper peels can result in significant redness and flaking.  Afterward, because chemical peels exfoliate the complexion-dulling dead cells, the skin is left softer, smoother, brighter and radiantly glowing.

NOTE: Chemical peels are not for everyone.  You may not be a good candidate if you have:

•   A history of abnormal skin scarring

•   Darker skin tone

•   Viral infections of the face (warts, cold sores)

•   Used certain acne treatments within the last year

Things chemical peels will not do: treat deep facial lines, tighten loose or sagging skin,  remove broken capillaries, change pore size or remove deep scars.

ALLUMERA & LED LIGHT THERAPY

LED Light Therapy is a pain-free, non-invasive, soothing and rejuvenating skin treatment.

This treatment helps stimulate circulation to the skin to reduce inflammation and stimulate collagen growth.  It is used to treat acne breakouts, fine lines and wrinkles, post inflammatory scarring and rosacea. It will not only help minimize acne, but also soothe your skin and reduce both redness and inflammation.  It also minimizes the appearance of pores and tightens skin.  LED light therapy usually requires at least four treatments to see results.

Adding Allumera® to you your LED light therapy only works to improve your results.  Allumera® is the first photodynamic cosmetic cream specifically formulated to improve the overall appearance of skin including fine lines, elasticity, skin tone, skin texture, discoloration, and pore size.

"THE PITS"

BOTOX has been FDA approved for the treatment of severe primary axillary hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating of the underarms) in patients unable to obtain relief using antiperspirants

BOTOX is a natural, purified protein with the ability to temporarily block tigers of the body's sweat glands. Botox injections are very shallow. Botox has been shown to result in an 82-87% decrease in sweating. Patients notice results approximately 2 to 4 days after in-home botox treatment with the full effects usually noted within 2 weeks. Dryness typically lasts 4 to 12 months but some studies have found it can last as long as 14 months.

MICRONEEDLING & PLATELET RICH PLASMA

Microneedling is a skin-rejuvenating procedure in which tiny needles create punctures in the top layer of skin.  The repair and healing from these micro-punctures promotes collagen growth which serves to reverse signs of aging (by reducing fine lines), fade acne and traumatic scars, smooth and firm skin, and reduce discoloration.  The whole process only takes about 15 minutes.  Microneedling is a great part of any skin care maintenance routine.  Monthly treatments alternating between microneedling, chemical peels, and LED light therapy are a fantastic way to achieve year-round radiance.

Adding Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) to the skin before microneedling allows the needles to introduce the PRP directly into the skin through the micro-channels.  To obtain Platelet Rich Plasma, we draw blood from you and immediately spin it down in a centrifuge  This separates the plasma from the rest of the blood.  This plasma is rich with platelets and beta growth factor.  The PRP not only speeds healing and repair, it stimulates collagen production.  Using PRP heightens the effects of microneedling as a treatment for fine lines and wrinkles, scars and discoloration.

With microneedling with or without PRP treatment, visible improvements typically appear about 2-4 weeks from the time of treatment. Optimal results are noticeable after 6 months with additional follow up treatments.  We recommend a series of 3-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart for most patients. Some conditions, however, such as deep wrinkles, stretch marks, and extreme acne scaring could take up to 6-8 treatments for best results.
